On Jan. 20, 2018 we come together for the Women’s March on Tulsa to reaffirm our commitment to build a positive and just future for all, and to celebrate the spirit of resistance efforts over the past year. This rally and call-to-action event will promote sustained engagement in supporting women’s rights, human rights, social and environmental justice and widespread voter registration and engagement for 2018 and beyond.
The Women’s March will begin at Guthrie Green in the downtown Tulsa Arts District with a rally and speeches from several inspiring women at 1 p.m. Following the rally, we’ll march together along a route TBD, ending at Living Arts of Tulsa to socialize and network among feminist, progressive and grassroots organizations and candidates for office. Voter registration and information on tangible ways to make a difference in our communities will be available.
To MARCH means more than showing up, linking arms and moving in step with like-minded individuals then dispersing. We believe, when sustained, to MARCH means Meaningful Action Really Can Help. On Jan. 20, let’s celebrate and elevate the diversity of our city, state and nation; the power of each of us within ourselves; and the strength we possess together. In 2018, our voices and our vote will be heard at the polls like never before!
Entertainment and inspiration from feminist singers, spoken word artists and story tellers will touch hearts, challenge complacency and stereotypes while encouraging listeners to harness their power to create change in 2018 and beyond as part of pre-rally rally activities starting at noon! Come early and enjoy!
This is an ALL-AGES event and an alternate march route will be available for those who may be elderly or disabled. Signs welcomed and encouraged! ✊🏼
Marchers are encouraged to bring a small item to donate to needy families and children such as school supplies, toiletries, socks, blankets, new shoes, canned good etc, which will be donated to Taking it to the Streets
