Don’t Punish Pain National Rally – Cleveland, OH

We are here today to have our voices heard regarding the neglect the chronically ill community and pain patients have experienced due to the new CDC guidelines, the DEA and FDA involvement.
We are here to show the other side of the so called “opioid crisis” – the inability of pain patients to access their medication they need to function.
Patients that have documented disease conditions, long term legitimate patients who have relied on opioid analgesics to be contributing members of the community.
They did not choose to be in pain, they don’t abuse their medication and they don’t deserve to be treated like addicts or criminals.
For many, being on prescription opioids comes as a last resort.
The crisis of people in the throes of opioid addiction deserves time and attention of health care providers and legislators … but so does the crisis of people in pain.
